The Internal Alexander Teacher
The role of an Alexander Teacher is to move the pupil towards self-management and autonomy. Unlike treatments, the Alexander Technique is a process of education. Pupils progressively learn how to look after themselves without the aid of a Teacher. And so the Teacher works towards redundancy!
As a result of lessons, pupils become more and more able to rely on their 'internal Alexander Teacher'.
