Anti-gravity
Gravity is a great friend in the Alexander Technique. In fact, the idea that gravity is an enemy to be fought against, causes all sorts of problems. A classic case of this is the mistaken sense that you have to hold yourself up with effort, in order to have good posture. When everything is working the way nature intended, the downwards force of gravity through the body is greeted by an equal and opposite force up through the body, which we can call poise, grace or'anti-gravity'.
