Even though most people see the Alexander Technique as a postural technique, it is in fact a mind-body technique. Alexander himself termed his work a reeducation of the psychophysical self. This is a very difficult thing to convey via the spoken or written word. But just a few moments under the hands of an experienced Alexander Teacher will convey to the pupil that their minds and bodies are two aspects of the same essential unity
